Sariah has always been fragile and unable to go outside when it is over 80 degrees outside. She has had some fine and large motor skill problems but has received OT and PT. I believe she has "graduated" from PT and only receives OT now. But one cool, by Phoenix's standards, December day, Grandpa took her outside and played ball with her. She was SO excited when she could catch the ball. It hit her in the face so many times before she finally started catching it. That in itself is a milestone; she would have usually stopped engaging and gone inside. But she is progressing nicely and played for a long time with her Grandpa. She is reaching and passing milestones!
Hurray! Sariah caught the ball!
Another smash in the face, but she held onto the ball!
She is getting the hang of it! Good job Sariah!
Sariah even learned to throw the ball as well! It doesn't look big, but it is a pretty big and heavy ball for her tiny little hands.
She how excited and happy she is that she finally accomplished the simple play of ball throwing and catching? Good job, Sariah.
